Our practice remains at the forefront of dental technology and uses lasers to reduce pain, tissue loss and bleeding and to provide the most technologically advanced care possible. The use of a laser allows some procedures to be performed without the use of a drill or the need for an injection. Lasers work by delivering energy in the form of light. This energy can be used to achieve accuracy and precision when shaping the gums, biopsying oral tissues, removing tooth decay, and killing bacteria to improve periodontal health.
That dental lasers offer a long list of benefits for patients and dentists? Specifically, laser dentistry has grown in popularity among patients because it is highly effective for reducing inflammation, bleeding and swelling during and following dental procedures. Many patients also report experiencing less pain when lasers are used as opposed to drills. For this reason alone, many patients experience less anxiety and apprehension before and during their dental appointments.
Possibly. Laser dentistry is generally not used in examinations and cleanings. However, if you need a filling, root canal, biopsy, periodontal treatment or tooth whitening, a dental laser could provide a better overall experience and recovery. To find out if laser dentistry is right for you, schedule an appointment to meet with your dentist and discuss your options for treatment.
Your experience will be similar to those you may have had before, only without the pressure, vibrations and sound of a dental drill. Just as with traditional dental treatments, you will be anesthetized before having laser treatment. However, because dental lasers may help minimize pain, you may not require as much anesthesia as you would with a non-laser treatment.
Your post-treatment care will not differ from the instructions you would have from a dentist using a drill or other dental tools. However, you may find that your recovery time is shorter and that bleeding is minimal immediately following your treatment.

Midtown Dental Care is an avid member of both the dental community, and the New York community. That is we are proud to mention that we have ties to the following associations/organizations:
According to the American Dental Association standards, every individual should visit the dentist once every six months, or twice annually. This begins when a child has their first tooth, and lasts for their entire lifetime. It is very important to attend these appointments to ensure good dental health and minimize the chances of larger dental problems later.
Each and every patient is different with a unique case. This means that, for some patients, Invisalign is the best choice. For other more complex cases, traditional braces may be the most effective dental solution. In order to find out whether traditional braces or Invisalign is best for you, give the professionals at Midtown Dental Care a call. We can discuss with you the advantages and disadvantages of each option, so you can feel confident in your choice.
Cosmetic dental services work to improve the physical appearance of a patient’s smile. A patient’s smile can be enhanced with the following services:
The benefits of cosmetic dental services are vast. These services make a patient’s smile more appealing, which can then help to boost confidence and self-esteem.
Yes! At Midtown Dental Care, we can provide comprehensive dental services for the entire family! It is important to start going to the dentist at a young age and ensuring that children learn young that they should be visiting the dentist twice a year, brushing and flossing at least twice a day, etc.
It can be tough to identify whether or not your situation is a dental emergency. However, it is significant to remember that most dental emergencies involve pain, swelling, and/or bleeding. Some of the most common dental emergencies that the staff at Midtown Dental Care treat on a consistent basis include root canals, toothaches, broken teeth, and any other type of tooth pain.
